Formerly known as International FoodTec India, the event, which is India’s leading supplier fair for the food and beverage industry, will have four concurrent events, namely PackEx India, the second essay of Food Logistics India, ANUTEC Ingredients India (which will make its debut) and concurrent to the 13th essay of Annapoorna World of Food India.

Witness innovations
India’s biggest and most sought-after trade fair for the food and beverage processing industry will cover a gross area of 40,000sq m this year, providing more synergy to visitors. It will provide them an opportunity to source from and connect with international suppliers and witness innovations in the sector of food, beverage and packaging technology and equipment and supplies in the event.

Food Logistics India
The second edition of Food Logistics India, the international exhibition on logistics, warehousing and transportation for the food and beverage industry supported by the ministry of food processing industries (MoFPI) and the Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India (FCAOI).

FCAOI will be organising a technical seminar on cold chain management and a regional meeting of the West Zone members shall be attended by over 300 cold storage owners from across India.

This year, a panel discussion on best utilisation of cold storage facilities will be held. It will focus on innovation in cold chain industry, traditional cold storage versus conventional cold storage and importance of refrigeration and transportation to save food. It will also host awards on Excellence in Cold Chain Awards for the following categories:

Anutec Ingredients India
Being held for the first time, ANUTEC Ingredients India will open doors to the ingredient and nutraceutical sectors along with the Anutec event. Anutec Ingredients India is supported by the Health Foods and Dietary Supplements Association (HADSA) and the Fragrances and Flavours Association of India (FAFAI). The trade fair brings together food ingredients like food colours, food extracts, flavours, preservatives, enzymes, functional foods, spices and herbs and vitamins.

Kumar mentioned, “The food industry, which is currently valued at $39.71 billion, is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11 per cent to $65.4 billion by end of 2018. India has a substantial food-loving consumer base leading to a significant market size for the food and beverage industry. The Indian food and grocery market is the world’s sixth largest, with retail contributing 70 per cent of the sales.”

He added, “Understanding the need of the hour, and the efforts taken by the Government of India as well as the industry for this sector, we decided to organise a brand new segment concurrent to ANUTEC International FoodTec India – Anutec Ingredients India.”

Annapoorna
The 13th edition of Annapoorna World of Food India will be held concurrent to Anutec- International Foodtec. This trade fair will be jointly organised by Koelnmesse YA Tradefair Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Koelnmesse GmbH, Germany (which organises Anuga, ISM, etc.) and the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), is a B2B platform for the Indian food and beverage market.

This year, the theme of Annapoorna – World of Food India is Taste the Success and exploring the possibilities of making India a global food trade business hub.

Visitors and exhibitors
This year, over 700 exhibitors from India and abroad will be participating in the event. It will witness the participation of about 32 countries. This exhibition has become the most coveted show for the suppliers of food, drink and packaging industry in the Indian sub-continent addressing the needs of the business owners, product managers, production line and research and development (R&D) personnel and other allied industry sectors.
